What is Baylee going to Give Baby Jesus for Christmas?

We were having family home evening tonight and I was attempting to teach the kids the true meaning of Christmas. I had each person right down what the were going to give Baby Jesus. Andrew was going to try and be more loving, Drew to be nice to his sisters, Myself to be more patient and to try and get up without Andrew asking to make him his lunch and breakfast, Brooklyn to clean her room without being asked, and then there was Baylee. I asked Baylee what she wanted to give Baby Jesus, her answer was "Name Jesus Christ Amen." I guess we will take that as praying. It works!

Round and Round we go!

Each year around Christmas time the Lemmon family has many traditions. One of the favorites is the Progressive Dinner. Each family takes part in it. This year Diane and Trent had appetizers, Mom and Dad had soup, Val and Mike had salad, Andrew, Kendra and us had the main course and Doran and Amy had dessert. It is a great time to get together and eat great food!

TONSIL TIME!!

Jaxsen has been sick a lot over this past year so finally we decided that those tonsils and adenoids had to be removed. The doc said they were pretty bad! It was the best thing we ever did for Brooklyn, but had a horrible experience going through it. So I was very cautious about going through it with Jax considering he is about a year younger they Brooklyn was. We decided to go to EIRMC this time and boy am I glad we did. They were great! They gave Jax some medicine before the surgery to make him calm. They said it would make him "DRUNK" and boy did it. I wish I would have gotten pics of him at that point. HILARIOUS!! After surgery they brought him up to pediatric floor to recover. We were there until about 4:30. Jaxsen did exceptionally well! I was so surprised. He ate, drank a sippie and wanted to be pulled round and round the pediatric floor about a hundred times!
If looks could kill I WOULD BE DEAD!!

Both right after surgery! Doesn't he look precious!

Dad had to feed him his Popsicle. He would just stick his tongue out to lick and dad did all the work.
Going round and round the pediatric floor.
Every time we would go by the nurse's station he would show his nurse his arm. Only real men wear pink!!
Being home you really can't tell he had them out other then if we wait too long to give him his pain medicine he gets a little grouchy. Other then that he is one tough cookie.

Singing for the Elderly

Brooklyn had the chance to sing a one of the "Retirement Communities" for Tavaci. The last time we tried Tavaci with Brooklyn it was a wreck! This time she did excellent! I was very proud of her and can't wait to see her concert this weekend.

The kids posing! Not sure who the girl to the right is??
The queen "B"!

A picture for a MISSIONARY

For Christmas we always send messages via a video made by my family to our missionaries for Christmas. Well the girls had watched the fam record some of the video so they wanted to make the own. I didn't record them but this is the display the set up in their room and the picture they wanted me to take. SO CUTE!
So this is for you- SHAUN, COLTON, ALEX and TAYLOR! We love you and are proud of you!!

Thanksgiving- that's IT??

These are all the pictures I took of our Thanksgiving. I know-THAT'S IT?? These are pics of the kids watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. I remember every year growing up watching the Macy's Parade. It was a tradition in our house. My kids kid of got bored with it but I told them they had to watch it until Santa came. The last picture is them seeing SANTA!
I tempted for the first time to make pies and rolls. Never ever had I done either. PIES- THEY SUCKED!! I am not going to lie. I am going to blame it on the recipe.  ROLLS- Weren't wonderful but I tried. Andrew was quite proud of me for trying. Better luck next year!

Give unto others

Brooklyn just amazes me some days. I feel like I am really hard on her and expect so much from her because she is my oldest. She is the type that will just eat up compliments and loves to please others. Yesterday before I had to head to work we stopped by Smiths to grab milk. As I pulled up we saw the man out ringing the bell for the Salvation Army. I said the kids that we needed to gather change to put in the bucket. As we got the front of the store each of the kids put their money in even Jaxs. As we were walking through the store I noticed a quarter fall out of Brooklyn's pocket. I asked her where she got it and she looked down and said that she didn't want to give all the money to the bucket. I explained to her that some little kids won't have a Christmas because their parents don't have enough money. I asked how she would feel if she didn't have any Christmas. She said that it would make her sad. I told that giving even a little money helps others. I asked who else she knew that like to give service. I thought I would have to coax her with the answer but she surprised me again by saying JESUS. Do you know how that made feel. She is listening to her primary teacher and us when we try to have family home evening. Maybe I am doing something right???

What we will be doing for FHE

Brooklyn had been learning a "What child is this" in TAVACI. She came home singing it. I asked her if she knew who the child was that they were singing about? Her answer was "TINY TIM?" Apparently they are also learning a song about Tiny Tim. So when Drew comes this weekend we are going to put up the Christmas tree and have family home evening about who the baby was!

Where do babies come from??

While I was out work last night Andrew had children watching duties. Brooklyn had been asking all kinds of questions all night. The classic one for the night was....
BROOKLYN: Where do babies come from?
DAD: Uhhh... (why am I here when she asks this?)
BROOKLYN: The bird takes them to Jesus and Jesus puts them in your belly. RIGHT??
DAD: Exactly!
